THE ART OF MINDFUL COLORING

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU COLORED WITHOUT THINKING?

Coloring is meditation with a pencil. It quiets the noise, steadies the breath, and brings you into the present moment. Each stroke is an invitation to slow down.

“I draw every page with this intention.”

THE ARTIST

ABOUT MIKAMI-SAN

My name is Sora Mikami. I am a Japanese woman living in the United Kingdom. I have always been passionate about drawing, and these books are my way of having fun!

The Kintsugi Mind was born from a simple idea: what if coloring could be more than just coloring? What if each page could carry a piece of Japanese wisdom, something to sit with, to think about, to feel?

I draw every illustration by hand, pouring the philosophy into each line. Whether it is the golden cracks of kintsugi or the empty space of ma, every design is an invitation to slow down and reflect.

If you enjoyed my coloring books as much as I enjoyed drawing them, please consider leaving a review on Amazon. It would mean the world to me!

Thanks again and all the best,
Mikami-san みかみさん

The Kintsugi Mind is a series of adult coloring books, each exploring a different Japanese philosophical concept. From kintsugi's golden repair to wabi-sabi's imperfect beauty, each book translates centuries-old wisdom into meditative coloring experiences.

How many designs are in each book?

Each book contains 40 original illustrations, all printed on single-sided pages to prevent bleed-through. The 8.5 x 8.5 inch square format is designed for comfortable coloring with any medium: pencils, markers, or watercolors.

What makes these different from other coloring books?

Each book is not just about coloring, it's about philosophy. Every design is created to reflect a specific Japanese concept, and each book includes a brief introduction to help you understand and connect with the wisdom behind the illustrations.

What coloring tools do you recommend?

You are free to color with any tools you enjoy! Colored pencils, markers, or watercolors all work beautifully. I recommend placing a piece of cardboard behind the page if using wet media to prevent any bleed-through.
